Our Brewing Process
At North Mountain Brewing Company, craft brewing is a hands-on, small-batch process rooted in traditional styles a light with creativity. Working on a 20-barrel system, our brewer begins with carefully selected ingredients; specialty grains, aromatic hops, pure water, and specialty yeast strains, to create beers with character and depth.
The process starts by milling and mashing the malt with heated water to extract fermentable sugars, producing a sweet wort. This wort is boiled with hops in precise stages to develop complexity, then cooled and transferred to fermentation vessels. Yeast transforms the sugars into alcohol and carbonation while building the beer’s unique flavor profile.
Here, we craft everything from our crisp, approachable CREEM Golden Ale to nuanced Belgian-style brews,N'Erotic & Baby Belgian, hop-forward IPAs in multiple variations, and even refreshing house-made sugar-based seltzer.
Each batch is given time to condition naturally, ensuring clarity, balance, and flavor true to its style, bringing together heritage, skill, and a touch of North Mountain’s personality in every pour.
